We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum Dentist to join our dental practice on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in general dentistry and be comfortable providing care across various dental specialties, including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics. This role requires excellent patient assessment skills, adherence to infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring high standards of patient care and comfort.
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
* Perform a variety of dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
* Utilize dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for patient management and medical documentation.
* Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures in accordance with industry standards.
* Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff to provide efficient patient care.
* Stay current with advancements in dental technology and practices to enhance patient outcomes.
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
* Valid state dental license with no restrictions or disciplinary actions.
* Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology related to dentistry.
* Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental practices.
* Familiarity with medical imaging technologies used in dentistry.
* Previous experience working in a dental clinic or office setting is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
