The Position
Network & UC Operations Team Leader
Job SummaryThe Network and UC team is a Global team spread worldwide, managing cross-regional topics. The Network Operations team leader oversees the Global Network strategy, managing high availability networks infrastructure and operational services to meet Service Level Targets.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Team Lead
- Direct supervision of Network & UC Operations team members
- Lead, manage, and coordinate a team of Network engineers
- Define skills and talents for team members
- Responsible for training and development
- Provide direction and leadership for a process-focused team
- Manage scheduling, workload, and operational streams
- Address technical and non-technical escalations
- Develop, motivate, and direct team members
- Ensure proper implementation of procedures
- Promote a safety culture in daily operations
Incident and Event Management
- Efficient resolution of incidents & problems using ITIL process
- Timely communication on service impacting events
- Work with vendors on issue resolution
- Manage improvement tickets and service requests
- Monitor services to ensure compliance with standards and SLAs
- Report on key metrics and service delivery performance
- Manage toolsets for event management services
Continuous Improvement
- Provide leadership and technology guidance
- Ensure efficient networking system operation
- Manage Standards, Policies, Processes, and sites architecture
- Perform regular process improvement reviews
- Contribute to audit findings and remediation
- Coordinate monthly clean-up process
- Ensure data integrity and security
- Create and maintain business continuity plans
Administrative Tasks
- Maintain and renew licenses
- Monitor bills and spending
- Contribute to vendors management & relationship
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- University degree in IT and telecommunications
- 3-5 years managing telecommunication engineers
- Previous managerial experience globally
- Technical knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards
- Experience in team-oriented environments
- Ability to learn from experienced team members
Desirable
- Experience in culturally diverse global companies
- Cloud networking architecture experience
