Accounts Payable Specialist LHH is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a growing client in Downtown Cincinnati. This role is responsible for managing the full cycle accounts payable process with a strong emphasis on employee reimbursement compliance, accuracy, and policy adherence. The position works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of invoices and expense reimbursements. This position is hybrid after training and is direct hire / permanent placement. Pay for this role will range between $50K and $65K annually. Responsibilities
  • Managed full cycle accounts payable including invoice intake, review, coding, approval, and payment processing
  • Reviewed and processed employee expense reimbursements to ensure compliance with internal policies and tax guidelines
  • Ensured all reimbursement submissions included appropriate documentation, approvals, and proper expense classification
  • Processed payments via ACH, wire, and check in accordance with established schedules and controls
  • Maintained accurate vendor and employee records, including set-up, updates, and required compliance documentation
  • Responded to internal inquiries regarding reimbursements, payment status, and policy interpretation
  • Reconciled accounts payable, expense, and clearing accounts and resolved discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Supported month-end close by preparing accruals, reporting, and audit support related to payables and reimbursements
  • Enforced internal controls and approval workflows to ensure compliance with firm policies and financial standards
  • Identified process improvement opportunities related to reimbursement compliance, efficiency, and accuracy
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of full cycle accounts payable experience with a strong focus on expense reimbursements
  • Experience interpreting and enforcing reimbursement and expense policies
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review documentation for compliance
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and expense management platforms
  • Solid understanding of AP controls, approval workflows, and audit requirements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees and leadership
  • Ability to manage high-volume transactions in a deadline-driven environment
