We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic settings, demonstrating expertise in assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and developing comprehensive care plans. This role requires a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals across diverse populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those with disabilities.
*Responsibilities*
* Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific goals.
* Assist patients with ADLs to enhance their independence and overall well-being.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for effective discharge planning and case management.
* Provide therapy in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health.
* Work with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to promote functional skills.
* Implement early intervention strategies for pediatric patients and support their families.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
* Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercises.
*Experience*
* Proven experience in occupational therapy, particularly in acute care, ICU settings, or skilled nursing facilities.
* Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology is essential.
* Experience in speech therapy is a plus but not required.
* Background in working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with disabilities is preferred.
* Previous experience in outpatient clinics or school environments is advantageous.

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
