Job Description – Mechanical Drafter (Structural Steel Experience Required)

We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter with strong structural steel experience to join our team. This role will support the design and detailing of structural steel components and assemblies for construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed mechanical and structural steel drawings using AutoCAD/Revit
• Produce shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and layouts
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and fabricators
• Review and revise drawings based on project requirements and site conditions
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards

Requirements:

• 2–5+ years of drafting experience with a focus on structural steel
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit considered an asset)
• Strong understanding of structural steel detailing and fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
