Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour

Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Associate reports directly to the Inventory Control Supervisor and works as part of a small, fast-paced operations team responsible for ensuring timely and accurate movement of materials and finished goods. The position involves daily use of UPS WorldShip , operation of forklifts and material handling equipment , light LTL and international shipments, receiving incoming materials, and supporting cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping
- Prepare, package, and label outbound shipments using UPS WorldShip .
- Verify orders against packing lists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and stage shipments safely.
- Coordinate occasional LTL and international shipments with carriers.
- Maintain shipping documentation and tracking records within the ERP system (Infor preferred ).
- Assist with packaging optimization and process improvements for outbound logistics.
Receiving
- Receive inbound shipments; inspect for damage and verify against purchase orders.
- Safely unload trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Process receipts and enter inventory movements in the ERP system.
- Stock materials accurately in designated storage locations.
- Communicate discrepancies or damaged goods to the Inventory Control or Quality teams.
Inventory & Cycle Counts
- Support cycle counting, stock rotation, and bin accuracy .
- Assist with periodic full-inventory counts as needed.
- Help identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and material flow.
Warehouse Support
- Operate lift trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse and shipping area.
- Correctly identify and label items with barcodes or part numbers.
- Follow all safety and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–5 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment required (certification preferred).
- Experience with UPS WorldShip and ERP systems (Infor preferred ).
- Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs and stand for the full shift.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently.
