Seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana to join our growing logistics team. This role is vital for maintaining accurate inventory levels, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for managing stock, conducting audits, and implementing effective inventory control procedures. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using WMS.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures to reduce loss and waste.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams.
- Assist in the training of other staff on inventory procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE and proper lifting techniques.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a logistics environment.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain principles.
- Must be comfortable with tasks involving lifting and moving inventory items as required.
