We are excited to announce the opening of our new school in Battle, East Sussex, with a full capacity of 60 pupils, set within a stunning country estate.
Your RoleAs a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in mentoring and supporting our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing dedicated support to one pupil or a small group of no more than five.
- Assisting the Classroom Teacher during lessons.
- Reporting on pupils' progress and collaborating with school staff to meet their needs.
- Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
- Helping with lesson planning and classroom preparation.
- Setting and marking work where appropriate.
- Building positive relationships to drive engagement and learning outcomes.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant.
- Experience working with pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Confidence to lead in a specialism (e.g., Reading, Mathematics, Forest School).
- Skills in behaviour management and techniques.
- A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
All candidates must be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, with costs covered by ISP.
