We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our Detroit, Michigan facility. This is a crucial role within our **logistics** department, responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of all outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and possess a strong commitment to **Safety**. You will be the last point of contact before products leave our facility, ensuring everything is in order. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing and verifying all outgoing shipments against order documentation.
- Preparing shipping labels and necessary documentation (bills of lading, etc.).
- Packaging products securely and appropriately for transit, ensuring they meet carrier requirements.
- Coordinating with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintaining accurate shipping records and tracking information.
- Ensuring the staging area is organized and shipments are ready for dispatch.
- Adhering strictly to all **Safety** regulations and wearing all mandated **PPE**.
- Assisting with inventory tasks as needed, such as verifying outbound quantities.
- Communicating effectively with warehouse staff and management regarding shipping status.
