Residential Support Worker

As a Residential Support Worker in our Poole location, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team that tailors care packages to meet the unique needs of each child and young adult. Your role will involve:

• Providing high levels of support and guidance to ensure the safety and well-being of our young people.
• Building positive and trusting relationships to foster a sense of belonging.
• Encouraging the development of individual interests and skills.
• Working flexible shifts, including sleep-ins, on a rotating schedule.

We seek individuals who are not only qualified but also share our passion for supporting young people. Here’s what you need to bring:

• Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
• Flexibility to work 7 x 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our young people.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
• A willingness to learn and grow, with a desire to pursue further qualifications (Level 4 diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent).
• Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!

This is a full-time, permanent position with a shift pattern on rotation. You will be part of a supportive team that values your individuality and professional growth.

• A competitive salary starting at £24,604.58 (unqualified) or £27,107.08 (qualified), with potential earnings up to £32,348.58 or £34,851.08 respectively, including sleep-in shifts.
• A sleep-in allowance of £64 per night .
