Join Our Team as a Residential Home Team Leader!

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Heysham, Morecambe

Salary: Starting at £27,803.20, with potential earnings up to £34,523.20 including sleep-in shifts.

Are you a dynamic and inspirational leader? We are seeking a Residential Home Team Leader to join our dedicated Children's Home Team at Bayview. Located in the heart of Capernwray, Carnforth, you will work in a nurturing environment that accommodates a maximum of four young people.

Your Role:

In this pivotal position, you will:

  • Guide young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties towards success.
  • Provide a safe, secure, and positive environment that fosters growth and improvement in their lives.
  • Assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in the daily operations of the home, ensuring our 'Outstanding' or 'Good' Ofsted ratings are maintained.
  • Step in for the Registered Manager when needed, ensuring continuity of care and leadership.
What We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you must:

  • Hold a full UK driving license.
  • Possess a Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People.

Your Responsibilities Include: Provision of Childcare
  • Develop and review care plans for each child, ensuring compliance with legal and Ofsted standards.
  • Maintain open communication with the Registered Manager regarding important issues and developments.
  • Foster a friendly and professional atmosphere, encouraging children to feel a sense of belonging.
Business Management and Improvement
  • Assist in managing the home’s budget and ensure quality food standards are met.
  • Lead staff meetings to encourage open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Proactively seek improvements for the home and contribute to the annual development plan.
Staff Management
  • Manage staff fairly and consistently, ensuring a positive work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and address any issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and maintain high hygiene standards.
