Financial Controller

A rapidly expanding SME is seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to join the business at an exciting stage of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a key leadership role with significant exposure to strategic decision-making & operational improvement.

This is a hands-on position suited to a commercially minded & autonomous finance professional. You will play a central role in driving growth while strengthening financial controls, reporting, & systems across the business. Responsibilities include:

• Preparation & presentation of monthly management accounts (group and three entities)
  
• Monthly bank reporting & bi-monthly board packs, including board presentations & minutes
  
• Development of the annual business plan
  
• Detailed financial analysis vs budget (revenue, margin, costs) to support decision-making
  
• Cashflow management & forecasting, with focus on improving working capital
  
• Oversight of all tax matters & management of the statutory audit process
  
• Management of AP, AR & stock control processes
  

• 
  
• ACA/ACCA qualified with 5–10 years’ PQE
  
• Proven experience leading a finance function with strong communcation skills
  
• Experienced Sage 200 user
  
• Strong analytical ability with excellent attention to detail
  
• Commercially minded with a solid understanding of broader business drivers
