Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a SEND Teacher, you will teach small bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering well-structured lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
- Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on the learning needs and progress of your pupils.
- Adapting teaching methods to cater to the diverse strengths and needs of students.
- Setting high standards that inspire and challenge pupils.
- Demonstrating secure subject knowledge across the KS3/KS4 Curriculum.
- Preparing learners for external tests and assessments.
- Implementing effective strategies for teaching pupils with SEND.
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
- Experience in Humanities, PE, or vocational subjects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and adapt teaching to meet their needs.
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
- Good ICT skills to support learning.
- A workplace that prioritizes the emotional health and wellbeing of all staff.
- Commitment to your professional development with a variety of training opportunities.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, which will be funded by Polaris Community.
