We are looking for a diligent and motivated Material Handler to support our logistics operations in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in the movement, organization, and preparation of goods within our warehouse. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping materials, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information against invoices, bills of lading, or other records.
- Inspect products for damages and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Store materials in designated locations, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Pick and pack orders accurately based on customer requirements and shipping schedules.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular checks and participation in cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and able to work flexible hours as needed.
