We are looking for a diligent and motivated Material Handler to support our logistics operations in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in the movement, organization, and preparation of goods within our warehouse. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping materials, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information against invoices, bills of lading, or other records.
- Inspect products for damages and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Store materials in designated locations, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Pick and pack orders accurately based on customer requirements and shipping schedules.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular checks and participation in cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and able to work flexible hours as needed.
