*The Role*
As a 2nd Line Support Technician, you will take ownership of escalated cases, providing deeper technical troubleshooting and supporting infrastructure level issues. You’ll work across networks, telephony platforms, CCTV, access control and cloud systems — no two days are the same.
*CompTIA Network+* *or equivalent qualification* *is essential for this role.*
*Responsibilities (not limited to)*
* Acting as an escalation point for 1st Line technicians.
* Diagnosing and resolving complex issues across:
* Switching, routing, VLANs & firewall systems
* Onprem and cloud telephony platforms
* CCTV & access control systems
* Leading remote and onsite technical support activities.
* Implementing configuration changes, firmware updates and system optimisations.
* Supporting project delivery including installations, migrations and upgrades.
* Documenting work clearly and maintaining SLA compliance.
* Mentoring and guiding junior technicians.
* Advising customers on system improvements and best practice.
*Essential: *
* *CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification.*
* Strong troubleshooting experience across networking, telephony, CCTV and more.
* Ability to take ownership of escalated issues and work independently.
* Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
* Strong organisational and documentation skills.
*Desirable: *
* Experience with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, VoIP telephony.
* Familiarity with CCTV, security systems and RAID configurations.
