This role involves regular interaction with carriers and internal teams, requiring strong communication skills. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment. The physical demands include standing, walking, and occasional Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documentation and labels accurately.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and proper packaging.
- Load outbound shipments onto trucks and trailers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the inventory system.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
