In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, timely, and properly packaged for transit. Your duties will include preparing shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, loading outbound freight, and maintaining accurate shipping records. You will play a key part in our supply chain, ensuring our customers receive their orders promptly and in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You'll work within a dynamic warehouse environment, adhering to all company policies and safety regulations. A commitment to excellent customer service and efficient operations is paramount. This role involves regular interaction with carriers and internal teams, requiring strong communication skills. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment. The physical demands include standing, walking, and occasional Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documentation and labels accurately.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and proper packaging.
- Load outbound shipments onto trucks and trailers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the inventory system.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
