• Conduct inspections of individuals, goods, and conveyances to ensure compliance with customs laws.
• Ensure the security of U.S. borders by detecting and preventing contraband smuggling attempts.

Make arrest ' s when required in conjunction w/ law enforcement task force member agencies to prevent illicit activity across US international boarders , audit travelers info before approving passage into States & search packages ; probe thoroughly to uncover weapons or harmful materials from intercepted freight shipments ./ p > < br />
