Job Overview We are excited to announce an opening for a Data Engineer II specializing in Generative AI. In this dynamic role, you will play a key part in developing and maintaining scalable solutions that bolster our Generative AI initiatives. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software developers to create cutting-edge, data-driven applications and systems. Your Role Will Involve: Designing, developing, and deploying solutions focused on Generative AI data engineering tasks, including data ingestion, processing, storage, and analysis. Collaborating with data scientists and engineers to build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and integrating LLM models into production-grade applications. Creating APIs and microservices to enhance data access and integration throughout various components of the Generative AI platform. Implementing best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation to ensure reliability, maintainability, and scalability of our software systems. Staying updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and Generative AI to enhance our platform's offerings. Performing additional responsibilities as assigned. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). A minimum of six years of programming and development experience. Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, particularly in data engineering and Generative AI applications. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL. Experience with modern front-end frameworks/libraries like React.js and back-end frameworks/libraries. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and related services including AWS Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, and Redshift. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS. A solid understanding of database systems and data processing frameworks (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Spark, Databricks). Understanding of Generative AI concepts such as Agentic Frameworks, RAG, LLM, Chunking, and Hyper-parameters. Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective interaction with cross-functional teams. Essential Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and/or work experience. Four additional years of data engineering experience.
