This crucial role involves managing and maintaining the accuracy of our extensive inventory, ensuring seamless logistics operations within a high-volume environment. Responsibilities include conducting rigorous cycle counts, performing physical inventories, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and implementing preventative measures to optimize stock levels. Your expertise will be vital in minimizing stockouts, reducing waste, and enhancing overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Maintain precise inventory records and ensure accuracy across all SKUs.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and scheduled physical inventories.
- Investigate and reconcile all inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor inventory flow, track stock movements, and ensure timely transaction processing.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures (e.g., FIFO/FEFO).
- Analyze inventory data to forecast demand, identify trends, and optimize stock levels for efficient warehousing.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (receiving, shipping, purchasing) to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse Safety protocols and the correct use of required PPE .
- Manage inventory adjustments and update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) accordingly.
- May involve occasional moderate Lifting up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency in using WMS, ERP systems, and other inventory management software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics within a metropolitan setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to upholding strict Safety standards and the proper use of PPE .
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
