Responsibilities include conducting rigorous cycle counts, performing physical inventories, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and implementing preventative measures to optimize stock levels. Responsibilities:
- Maintain precise inventory records and ensure accuracy across all SKUs.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and scheduled physical inventories.
- Investigate and reconcile all inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor inventory flow, track stock movements, and ensure timely transaction processing.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures (e.g., FIFO/FEFO).
- Analyze inventory data to forecast demand, identify trends, and optimize stock levels for efficient warehousing.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (receiving, shipping, purchasing) to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse Safety protocols and the correct use of required PPE .
- Manage inventory adjustments and update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) accordingly.
- May involve occasional moderate Lifting up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency in using WMS, ERP systems, and other inventory management software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics within a metropolitan setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to upholding strict Safety standards and the proper use of PPE .
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
