We are hiring a dedicated Distribution Center Associate for our state-of-the-art facility in Sacramento, California. This critical role supports the entire logistics pipeline, from receiving goods to dispatching orders. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including operating forklifts, managing inventory, and ensuring the efficient flow of products. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and stage materials.
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment with accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all regulations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and conveyors.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics operation.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other powered material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs, on a regular basis.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
