Nurse Practitioner-Dermatology

Position Overview

Specialists in Dermatology is seeking a highly qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide advanced dermatologic care in a collaborative, patient-centered clinical environment. The Nurse Practitioner functions as a licensed independent provider responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and procedural care in accordance with state regulations and clinical best practices.

Essential Duties and Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dermatologic assessments, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
• Formulate evidence-based diagnoses and treatment plans for medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic conditions
• Deliver patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, risks, benefits, and post-treatment care
• Perform dermatologic procedures within scope of practice, including but not limited to biopsies, injections, cryotherapy, and other therapeutic interventions
• Monitor patient outcomes and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with dermatologists and clinical staff to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record
• Comply with all OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and patient safety standards
• Maintain active licensure, certifications, and continuing medical education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
• National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Demonstrated ability to practice independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality patient care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in dermatology or procedural medicine
• Experience with dermatologic procedures and minor surgical techniques
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in dermatology
