Job Title: Server / Bartender Job Summary

The Server/Bartender provides exceptional guest service by taking food and beverage orders, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and enjoyable dining experience. This role requires strong multitasking skills, product knowledge, and a friendly, professional attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service

• Greet guests promptly and courteously
• Take accurate food and beverage orders
• Provide menu and drink recommendations
• Ensure guest satisfaction and resolve concerns professionally

Bartending Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards
• Verify guest age and comply with alcohol service laws
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and promote responsible drinking

Serving Duties

• Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
• Check in with guests throughout service
• Process payments accurately using POS systems
• Clear and reset tables efficiently

Operational Duties

• Maintain cleanliness of dining and bar areas
• Stock bar supplies, garnishes, and glassware
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous serving or bartending experience preferred (but not required, depending on establishment)
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and basic food pairings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Must meet legal age requirements for alcohol service

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry trays, glassware, and supplies (up to 25–50 lbs)
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays

Work Environment

• Fast-paced restaurant or bar setting
• Exposure to noise, crowds, and frequent guest interaction

Job Type: Part-time

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Food Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• server and bartender: 1 year (Preferred)
