Position Summary

The Repair Station Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a
Part 145 FAA-certified Repair Station
and serving as the
FAA Accountable Manager
. This role ensures full regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement while leading a small team of technicians and support staff. The position focuses on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and lean operational excellence within aerospace repair operations, with a strong preference for aftermarket experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Part 145 Repair Station in compliance with
    14 CFR Part 145
    regulations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and customer audits (FAA, EASA, CAAC, CAA, DOT)
  • Maintain and oversee Repair Station documentation, including manuals, training records, rosters, and quality systems
  • Supervise a team of
    5 direct reports
    (scheduler and technicians)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles and structured problem-solving methods
  • Coordinate production control, supply chain activities, and workflow across shifts
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and employee engagement
  • Support training, cross-training, and workforce development to ensure operational continuity
  • Utilize performance metrics, visual management tools, and improvement boards to ensure transparency and results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related discipline
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience
    in aerospace repair, manufacturing operations, or quality leadership
  • Hands-on experience with FAA Part 145 repair station operations
    (required)
  • Strong understanding of aerospace repair processes and regulatory documentation
  • Proven leadership and team development experience
  • Working knowledge of MRP or production planning systems
  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory inspections
  • This position requires U.S. Citizenship due to U.S. Government defense contracting and export compliance regulations.
