This position is ineligible for employment Visa sponsorship./ppstrongOverall Purpose/strong/ppThis position provides oversight to an engineering group(s) and is responsible for supporting the design, development, implementation, and delivery of product engineering software components. This manages the team to ensure that it has the right capacity to deliver the product roadmap for the company. This position focuses on internal and external customers to provide best in class service, with an emphasis on efficient resource management and audit controls./ppstrongEssential Functions/strong/ppManages activities of two or more teams./pulliBuild product engineering components and maintain them through production./liliProvide supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing./liliProvide technical guidance to design and engineering patterns on product design./liliGuide efforts applied to identification, enhancement and automation of applications and systems./liliEnsure testing policies and procedures are followed./liliProvide input for employee selection, training, guidance, performance management and development to ensure department objectives and Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met./liliActively contribute toward the vision, organization and leadership of the Engineering team(s)./liliEnhance and mature the Agile software development lifecycle within the team by applying industry best practices and processes./liliKeep management informed of team progress, problems and solutions./liliParticipate in and support initiatives for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning./liliServe as main liaison between Engineering and other departments within the company./liliPromote DevOps principles and collaborate with other groups./liliSupport the companys commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data./liliManager is involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect./liliManager may have subordinate supervisors or team leads as well as engineers as direct reports./liliEstablishes and assures teams adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements./liliSupport the companys commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data./li/ulpstrongMinimum Qualifications/strong/pulliEducation and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/liliThree or more years of experience in the following:/liulliFull Stack development/ development management (Technologies: Java, Spring, AWS Cloud)/liliSystem automation, scripting, Chef, Puppet or similar/liliCloud technologies, VMWare, AWS, or similar/liliAutomated testing, continuous integration and delivery/liliDemonstrated experience with state of the art technology, architecture and design concepts, operating systems, database systems, computer networking, and security./liliExperience with open source frameworks and tools./liliProven experience in Agile and DevOps software development philosophy, methodologies, practices, and procedures./liliDemonstrate ability to work effectively in cross-functional groups and generate results./liliMust be able to excel in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities./liliWork experience that demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive./liliAbility to envision project goals, product architectural solutions, and focus on details and tasks to ensure successful implementation./liliAbility to work independently and handle multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously./liliProven prior leadership experience./liliProven leadership skills in leading DevOps teams and their interaction across an organization./liliBackground and drug screen./li/ul/ulpThe above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers./ppEmployee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation./ppThe base pay scale for this position in Phoenix, AZ in USD per year is: $175,000 - $225,000.
