Glocert International is an independent certification and assurance body delivering audits, certifications, and assurance services across ISO management system standards and selected compliance frameworks. We work with organisations ranging from startups to enterprises across multiple sectors.

Role overview

We're looking for a Business Development Associate (Part-time) to support growth in the USA market. You'll identify prospects, qualify opportunities, initiate conversations with decision-makers, and coordinate with our technical and operations teams to convert leads into confirmed engagements - especially for ISO certification and assurance services.

This is a hybrid role based in the USA, with flexibility for meetings and client calls.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospects for certification and assurance services (USA-focused).
  • Reach out to leads via LinkedIn/email/calls and schedule introductory meetings.
  • Understand client needs at a high level (scope, sites, headcount, timelines) and qualify opportunities.
  • Coordinate internally to prepare proposals/quotations and follow up to closure.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of leads, stages, and outcomes (CRM/Tracker).
  • Support marketing-led campaigns (events/webinars/LinkedIn outreach) with targeted follow-ups.
  • Develop basic knowledge of key standards and how organisations typically adopt them (training provided).

What you'll sell / support

Typical services include:

  • ISO management system certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO 22301, ISO/IEC 42001, ISO/IEC , ISO 45001, etc.)
  • Readiness assessments, internal audit support, supplier audits, and assurance engagements (as applicable)

Required skills & experience

  • 1+ years experience in B2B sales, business development, lead generation, or client relationship roles
  • Strong communication skills (written + verbal) and confidence speaking with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise, and follow up consistently
  • Comfortable using LinkedIn, email outreach, and basic CRM tools
  • Professional, ethical, and process-oriented approach (important in certification environments)

Nice to have

  • Exposure to ISO standards, compliance, cybersecurity, GRC, or enterprise B2B services
  • Experience selling services to IT/tech, healthcare, fintech, government, logistics, or manufacturing sectors
  • Familiarity with procurement/vendor onboarding processes
