Reports to: Director and Deputy Director

Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the organization to ensure efficiency, compliance, and alignment with the organization’s mission. This role supports program delivery by strengthening internal systems, processes, and cross-functional coordination in an Indigenous non-profit environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Administration

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient organizational functioning
  • Develop, implement, and improve operational policies, procedures, and systems
  • Manage office operations, facilities, and external relationships with correctional services and other agencies, Indigenous organizations and communities, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, funder requirements, and relevant regulations

Program & Organizational Support

  • Collaborate with program and case management personnel to ensure operational needs support effective service delivery
  • Support strategic planning initiatives and organizational growth efforts
  • Serve as a key liaison between staff, leadership, and external partners

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure health, safety, privacy, and data protection standards are met
  • Support Board governance processes and documentation where applicable

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, non-profit management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in operations, administration, or management, preferably in a non-profit setting
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and operational systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in French and English
