Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: St. Alphonse-Rodriguez, Quebec
Reports to: Director and Deputy Director
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the organization to ensure efficiency, compliance, and alignment with the organization’s mission. This role supports program delivery by strengthening internal systems, processes, and cross-functional coordination in an Indigenous non-profit environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient organizational functioning
- Develop, implement, and improve operational policies, procedures, and systems
- Manage office operations, facilities, and external relationships with correctional services and other agencies, Indigenous organizations and communities, etc.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, funder requirements, and relevant regulations
Program & Organizational Support
- Collaborate with program and case management personnel to ensure operational needs support effective service delivery
- Support strategic planning initiatives and organizational growth efforts
- Serve as a key liaison between staff, leadership, and external partners
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure health, safety, privacy, and data protection standards are met
- Support Board governance processes and documentation where applicable
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, non-profit management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in operations, administration, or management, preferably in a non-profit setting
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, and operational systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in French and English
