Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position works under general supervision of the unit supervisor and receives instruction for regularly assigned duties. The incumbent is allowed to set schedules and develop methods within job parameters specified by procedures and task standards.
Duties are reviewed and evaluated by the supervisor for accuracy, timely completion and Competency through periodic monitoring of voucher status, suspended or rejected transactions.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Interpret statutes, regulations, and policies to ensure travel requests and transactions are appropriate, timely, and accurate. The incumbent will plan, implement and maintain all travel transactions are completed and paid in a manner that aligns with state procurement policy and procedures Will ensure standardize communication of travel arrangements, guidelines, and policies are communicated to Agency staff. Will coordinate with other travel and procurement staff to maintain and track travel requests on an Agency approved system, ensuring information is as accurate and up-to-date as possible. Incumbent will direct the review and approve electronic submissions of KDADS-1 travel forms, ensuring the request aligns with travel policies and procedures. The incumbent will provide technical guidance and training on travel accounting and fiscal procedures to Agency staff.
Audits transactions for compliance with state accounting policies and procedures; confirms the accuracy of funding and object codes; and verifies the appropriate documentation and authorization required for the
