We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our state-of-the-art facility in Nashville, Tennessee. This position is vital for maintaining the operational integrity of our warehouse equipment and systems, ensuring a smooth and efficient logistics flow. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on various machinery, including conveyor systems, forklifts, and automated storage solutions. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Install, adjust, and calibrate equipment to meet operational standards.
- Conduct safety inspections of all equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Operate various warehouse tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with the setup and modification of warehouse layouts for optimal logistics.
- Ensure that all lifting equipment is regularly inspected and certified.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to identify and resolve operational challenges.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in warehouse operations and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or electronics preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Experience with warehouse automation and robotics is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to urgent repair needs.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Experience with lifting devices and their maintenance is required.
