In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our warehouse by efficiently moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment. This is a physically demanding position that requires strength, stamina, and a commitment to safety. You will operate various equipment to move goods and ensure that the warehouse is kept clean and organized. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials to maximize space utilization.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Follow all company policies and safety regulations, including wearing required PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- A commitment to the principles of logistics and efficient operations.
