Our busy distribution center in Los Angeles, California is looking for skilled Forklift Operators to join our logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with warehouse organization. This is a critical role that requires precision, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Inspect forklifts daily and perform routine maintenance checks, reporting any issues immediately.
- Receive, identify, and accurately store incoming materials.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment with precision and care.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all logistics and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper usage of PPE.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring goods are properly secured.
- Perform tasks that involve occasional Lifting and physical movement.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse efficiency and workflow.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with safety standards, including the critical importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
