Join our team in Raleigh as a Reach Truck Operator! We are seeking a certified and experienced operator to manage the movement of goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse. This position is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of inventory. The Reach Truck Operator will be responsible for operating a reach truck safely and effectively to move, stack, and unstack pallets of products. Accuracy in placing items and maintaining clear aisles is paramount. You will conduct daily pre-operation checks on equipment and report any issues immediately. The ideal candidate possesses excellent control skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a solid understanding of warehouse workflows. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled operator to grow with a leading logistics provider. Strict adherence to safety regulations and the use of required PPE is mandatory. This role involves regular lifting of items within the operator's reach and manipulation of palletized goods. We are committed to fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Safely transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of the reach truck.
- Ensure accurate placement of pallets in designated racking locations.
- Maintain clear and organized aisles and work areas.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Support overall warehouse efficiency and logistics processes.
- Participate in inventory counts and checks as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving lifting and maneuvering of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and control.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
