We are seeking a dedicated and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Oklahoma City. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods into our warehouse. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for accurately unloading, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments. This involves verifying quantities against purchase orders, identifying any damages or discrepancies, and ensuring all items are properly logged into our inventory system. Strong attention to detail and good communication skills are essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will be proactive in addressing issues and contributing to a smooth receiving process. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Inspect shipments for damages and discrepancies.
- Verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Segregate and stage received products for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
