Here at The Plastics Clinic & Spa, we are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in creating an exceptional patient experience while supporting our physicians, nurses, and clinical team. This position includes both administrative and clinical responsibilities, carried out under the guidance of a provider. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to providing world-class care in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting providers, preparing patients for their visits, assisting with in-office procedures, and ensuring a smooth, welcoming patient experience. This role includes both clinical and administrative duties and requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and a patient-first mindset.
Essential ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Experience
- Greet and room patients, obtain vital signs, measurements, and medical history.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and a positive experience throughout their visit.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately, answering basic questions when appropriate.
- Assist providers during in-office procedures and treatments.
Clinical Support
- Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, and supplies at the start of each day.
- Clean and disinfect rooms between patients; maintain a high standard of clinic cleanliness.
- Prepare injections (toxins, fillers, numbing) under provider direction.
- Upload photos, assist with prescriptions, send pathology specimens, and manage documentation in the EMR.
Communication & Coordination
- Respond to patient messages and calls in a timely manner.
- Work closely with providers, nurses, and the clinic lead to ensure patient flow.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date documentation in the EMR.
General Clinic Support
- Restock rooms and maintain supply inventory.
- Help with administrative or clinical tasks as needed.
- Maintain professionalism and reliability in a busy clinic environment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office (aesthetics/plastics preferred but not required).
- Strong patient service skills with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic.
- Experience with EMR systems; able to type 50+ WPM.
- Good understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
- Team-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
