Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs in pediatric populations
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs and developmental stage
- Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions focused on improving articulation, language comprehension, social communication, and swallowing functions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, occupational therapists, educators, and families to coordinate care strategies
- Support early intervention programs by working with infants and toddlers to promote foundational communication skills
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, therapy sessions, and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare standards
- Educate families on home exercises and strategies to reinforce therapy goals outside of clinical settings
Requirements
- Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience working with pediatric populations in clinical or school settings
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques tailored for children with diverse needs
- Familiarity with pediatric physiology and anatomy relevant to speech and swallowing functions
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments using appropriate tools and medical terminology
- Experience with early intervention programs is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare teams
