Dietary Cook

The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing meals in accordance with prescribed dietary requirements and resident preferences. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the health and satisfaction of our residents through safe, sanitary, and high-quality food service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure food is served at proper temperatures and in an appealing manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food storage areas.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate with dietary aides and other staff to ensure smooth meal service.
• Accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions as directed by the dietary manager or healthcare team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cooking experience in a healthcare or institutional setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and dietary regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $14.00 per hour
