Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef

Job Title: Head Chef (Specializing in Irish Cuisine)Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef with a deep knowledge of Irish cuisine to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating traditional and contemporary Irish dishes, managing kitchen operations, and inspiring culinary excellence. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food and service
• Develop, plan, and execute menus featuring authentic and innovative Irish dishes
• Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to optimize kitchen efficiency
• Collaborate with management on menu planning, specials, and seasonal offerings
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
• Stay updated on culinary trends, especially those relevant to Irish cuisine
• Handle kitchen scheduling, staffing, and performance reviews

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, preferably in Irish or European cuisine
• Deep knowledge of Irish cooking techniques, ingredients, and traditional recipes
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional training
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Food safety certification (preferred)

Desirable:

• Experience introducing creative twists to classic Irish dishes
• Familiarity with sourcing authentic Irish ingredients
• Previous experience in menu design and costing

Compensation:
Competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $70,000.00 per year
