Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team and make a significant impact at a small, entrepreneurial company. This role is essential to expanding our client base and driving revenue growth through proactive outreach, relationship-building, and strategic sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for technology sales, and 1-2 years of experience in B2B sales and outbound calling. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's growth while developing your professional skills in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for identifying and introducing prospective clients to Positive Foundry and our BetterYet program, scheduling initial meetings and/or webinar demos between the decision-maker and our Co-Founder. The initial focus will be on corporations with 500 to 10,000 employees across the United States.

Responsibilities: What You'll Do

As a BDR, you will be responsible for:

  • Making 20+ outbound phone calls each day in addition to utilizing a multi-touch outreach approach (i.e., email, LinkedIn, voicemail, social, video)
  • Conduct outbound calls, including warm calling and telemarketing to prospective clients
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research and outreach
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions and sales activities using CRM software
  • Engage with leads to set an appointment for the Chief Engagement Officer
  • Communicate with the Positive Foundry team regarding prospect notes, meeting times, and key topics to review for all meetings set
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop strategies for lead generation and client engagement
  • Client research, including validating CRM database information and adding contact information, if needed using Membrain (Note: BDR is not responsible for sourcing leads)
  • Testing call scripts, email templates, and providing input and ideas for improvement
  • Achieve, and exceed, weekly/monthly metrics (calls, meetings set, qualified opportunities generated, etc.)
  • Contribute to strategic weekly sales and training meetings
  • Actively pursue self-improvement and assist the team in meeting company goals

Qualifications: What You Bring to the Table

  • 2+ years of working experience (sales or a related field preferred, but not required)
  • Proven success in previous role
  • The ability to build relationships quickly with anyone, particularly over the phone
  • Highly coachable, interested in learning and growing
  • Good research skills to gather information about prospects
  • Sense of urgency about accomplishing goals and learning quickly from mistakes
  • Capable of learning new technologies in a short period of time
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Positive, self-motivated, dependable, and persistent

  • The base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 with uncapped commission. On target earnings for this position are $75,000 -90,000 for your first year
