Our Des Moines, Iowa facility is looking for a dedicated Fulfillment Associate to manage the accurate and timely processing of orders. As a Fulfillment Associate, you will play a critical role in our logistics chain, ensuring that products are picked, packed, and prepared for shipment efficiently. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and customer orders. You will be working in a dynamic warehouse environment, contributing to a team that is focused on achieving operational excellence. Your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall performance of our distribution operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming orders accurately, ensuring all details are correct.
- Pick products from inventory based on order specifications, utilizing RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Pack items securely for shipment, using appropriate materials and methods to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages accurately and prepare them for outgoing logistics.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all warehouse safety standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, if certified and required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts as needed.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
