Join our team in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Warehouse Coordinator, a pivotal role in managing the daily flow of our warehouse operations. This position requires a proactive and organized individual to oversee and coordinate various aspects of logistics, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving activities. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety throughout the warehouse. This role demands strong leadership potential, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to uphold high standards of operational excellence in our logistics hub.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
- Oversee inventory accuracy and implement effective inventory management systems.
- Ensure efficient order picking, packing, and shipping processes to meet delivery schedules.
- Manage the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Train and guide warehouse staff on operational procedures, safety standards, and the use of equipment.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including the use of PPE.
- Monitor warehouse performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement in logistics efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Liaise with transportation providers and other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar logistics supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and experience enforcing safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are a plus.
