Sales Engineer , you will provide technical direction and business guidance to the regional sales team. We seek a self-starter who will drive innovative technical programs, pipeline generation alongside AEs, customer demonstrations, POCs, and day-to-day account-level activities. You will evangelize, position, and architect Rubrik’s Data Resilience, Observability, and Remediation tools to a targeted list of new and existing customers throughout the
UK Public Sector
(Central & Local Government, NHS, and Education). We are looking for personable, cloud-savvy engineers with Azure and/or AWS expertise who can partner with Account Executives and Customers, uncover customer problems through strong discovery, and use compelling storytelling to position Rubrik as the unique solution. Responsibilities
Provides technical leadership and direction to customers and internal staff in the development of fully integrated technology solutions in support of pre-sales activities in the assigned market. Assists in the analysis, design and development of fully integrated technology solutions. Demonstrates technical leadership and subject matter expertise on Rubrik’s products, distributed architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings. Acts as technical expert and consultant to develop and propose solutions that meet the technology and business requirements of assigned customers. Makes technical and sales presentations to customers' technical staff and senior management. Serves as a trusted technology advisor to customers and as an internal resource on technical issues or specific business applications within an assigned market segment. Successfully builds relationships with the account team, partners and customers in support of sales objectives and engages corporate resources as appropriate. Leads technical sales calls and whiteboarding/discovery sessions. Qualifies sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision-making process and funding. Partners with AEs on pipeline generation from both existing accounts and new prospects. About You
Ideally 5+ years of sales engineering experience, preferably in cloud infrastructure, SaaS security, or data center. Strong expertise in Azure (priority) and/or AWS; familiarity with cloud data management, and ideally in backup, disaster recovery, and cyber resiliency. Driven with a strong hands-on, “can do” approach. Entrepreneurial—willing to go the extra mile, strong work ethic, resourceful, and results-oriented. Thrives in a fast-paced environment; able to handle multiple calls/demos per day with immediate follow up. High level of business acumen and experience working with CxO-level personnel, bringing technology solutions to business challenges. Personable, confident communicator—able to engage both technical staff and senior executives. Smart, adaptable and open-minded. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Public Sector background is a plus, but not required. About Rubrik
