We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that stock levels are accurate and up-to-date. Your expertise will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a proven track record in inventory management. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment, emphasizing the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. This position involves significant attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and proactive problem-solving to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. Responsibilities include reconciling physical inventory counts with system data, identifying and resolving variances, monitoring inventory aging, and assisting with the implementation of new inventory control technologies. You will also collaborate with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to ensure seamless inventory flow. Physical demands may require occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient inventory management.
- Perform tasks involving moderate physical exertion, including occasional lifting.
