We are seeking a skilled and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials, contributing to the overall smooth operation of our distribution center. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be interacting with inventory management systems and collaborating with other warehouse personnel to maintain accurate stock levels and fulfill orders promptly. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation and a thorough understanding of warehouse procedures. We value dedication and provide a supportive work environment where your contributions are recognized. Experience with other material handling equipment is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to pick, put away, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trailers as needed.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Accurately record inventory movements using our warehouse management system.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Adhere to established production and quality standards.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Valid certification for reach truck operation is required.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
