The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to provide quality business analysis to internal and external clients, leading the determination of business requirements and development of system specifications and functional designs for business solutions software. You’ll be joining a global, diverse team within an Australian-based company, collaborating with subject matter experts and business units to deliver innovative solutions for our clients. What You’ll Do Engage with clients to identify and document business objectives and requirements. Write BA deliverables (scoping, business requirements, use cases, features, software requirements) throughout the project lifecycle. Liaise with project teams (developers, testers, implementation, documentation, training) to ensure requirements are met. Write and review functional specifications. Lead requirement gathering workshops. Prepare and deliver training and demonstrations for end-users and clients. Support the sales team with product demonstrations and demo environment development. Mentor BA team members. Ensure compliance with GBST policies, standards, and local statutory requirements. Contribute to a high-performing team and continuous improvement initiatives. Desired Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a reputable financial institution. Detailed knowledge of Pension and Wrap systems in the UK market. Experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Proven experience as a Senior BA in large-scale projects, including leading workshops, gap analysis, writing and reviewing requirements, and leading UAT cycles. Superior listening, oral, and written communication skills. Logical and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or in a team, adapt to changing environments, and prioritise work. Assertive, self-motivated, and client-focused. Experience in both Waterfall and Agile development environments. Knowledge of SQL, XML. Understanding of Composer data model and workflow experience. Experience in compliance requirements and legislative work groups (e.g., HMRC, FCA). Testing and training skills.
