About the Role We are seeking a commercially minded, data‑driven Sales & Marketing Operations Manager to join our central Group team. This role plays a vital part in aligning Marketing and Sales processes across multiple brands, ensuring operational excellence. You will support and optimise the systems, processes, and governance that connect Marketing and Sales – from lead generation to closed‑won – while driving efficiency, consistency, and scalability across the Group. As Marketing and Sales enablement needs continue to grow, this role will help shape our wider digital and operational future on our CRM and MarTech platforms.
Your key responsibilities
Oversee and optimise the use of HubSpot as the central tool for our marketing operations.
Be a HubSpot Champion, upskilling others to take up the mantle.
Support implementing new “Hubs” and onboarding of new Marketing and Sales teams.
Implement and manage marketing automation, personalisation and segmentation to support campaigns.
Own and manage lead scoring implementation for each business, alongside lead management processes.
Optimise and implement processes and governance around naming conventions, properties and objects, forms, structure, folders, and user governance.
Provide day‑to‑day support for Marketing teams, fielding Marketing Operations support tickets.
Collaborate with relevant marketing, sales and operations stakeholders across Supporting Education Group, including our main practices of Recruitment & Supply, Qualifications & Training, Professional Services, and Tuition & Learning, plus the central Tech, Data and Product teams.
Work with the Tech and Data team to keep the marketing database accurate and up to date, debugging and solving snags.
Set up and manage data tracking in Google Tag Manager, HubSpot and other MarTech as required, collaborating with Tech and Data teams where needed.
Build reports to stakeholder requirements, analyse and output your recommendations.
Work towards continually assessing and improving marketing processes for greater efficiency, effectiveness and improved customer journeys.
Become a key Marketing Operations contact across the Group.
Support and push the adoption of AI across Marketing & Sales teams.
About You
Proven experience in Sales Ops or Marketing Ops in a complex organisation.
Deep knowledge of CRM systems (HubSpot essential; Salesforce desirable).
Strong analytical skills with experience in attribution and performance reporting.
Excellent communicator and natural collaborator – stakeholders warm to you.
Ability to design scalable processes and enforce governance without stifling agility.
Commercial mindset with a focus on outcomes and efficiency.
Good familiarity with standard marketing campaign measurements and KPIs.
Passionate about seeking new ways to make things better for our businesses and customers, whether it’s a process, new technology or something entirely new.
Can understand and simplify complex systems or processes.
Understanding the critical importance of testing.
