Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling orders.
- Verify shipment details, including destination addresses and order contents.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product protection.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant departments or customers.
- Operate shipping equipment safely, such as pallet jacks and banding machines.
- Maintain an organized and tidy shipping department.
- Ensure compliance with all **safety** regulations and the mandatory use of **PPE**.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Contribute to overall **logistics** efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar **logistics** role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle **lifting** of packages up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse **safety** best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to wear required **PPE**, such as safety vests and gloves.
