We are seeking a reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate for our San Diego, California location. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods into and out of the facility. You will be responsible for managing both incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to following established procedures. Your contributions will directly impact the smooth functioning of our logistics chain and the satisfaction of our customers and suppliers. We prioritize safety in all aspects of our operations, especially in material handling and storage.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify packing slips against received goods and report discrepancies.
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to company standards.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, such as order picking and stocking.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery is a strong plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Understanding of safety procedures and best practices, including safe lifting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
